What is the difference between Export Search Engine and other search engines?
The Export Search Engine is a dedicated search engine and lists only exporters websites from all over the world.
General search engines like Google, Inktomi, Alta Vista and the directories like Looksmart, Yahoo etc list all types of websites, information, personal, government, retailers and local websites. They present the results mixed and that makes it very difficult to separate the exporters websites. More information.
What is the difference between the Export Search Engine website search and the Export Search Engine product search?
The Export Search Engine website search engine searches through keywords offered by the exporters websites and if you click on a result link you will be directed to their website where you look will have to look for their export products.
The Export Search Engine product search searches through exporters catalogues and if you click on any result link you will be directed to the exporters product/service catalogue, where you can request information/quote directly from the exporter.
Why some listings from Export Search Engine product search appear on the Export Search Engine website search?
The Export Search Engine website search is a Pay For Performance search engine, that means that the exporters pay every time someone clicks on their link.
Some companies do not have their own website instead they prefer to build their interactive catalogues on the ExportSE.com website. Others have their own websites and for marketing purposes create a catalogue on the Export Search Engine as well and then list both sites on the Export Search Engine.
What is Pay-for-Performance?
Pay-for-performance (PFP) or pay-per-click (PPC) or pay-per-lead (PPL) are all forms of online advertising where a marketer pays for results rather than paying to reach a particular audience. Pay-for-performance (PFP) is the best form of advertising because you only pay for results. If you don't get the results, if you don't get visitors to your website it costs you nothing.

How does the biding work?
The value of the bids placed on keywords, determines the position of the listing within the search results. The bid with the highest value will appear on the top of the search results relevant to the keyword searched.
Does the bid influence the accuracy of the results?
No, the search results are determent by the search algorithms and are not influenced by the bid value. The bids only influence the order of the presentation for keywords with the same search relevancy.
Can I view bids from other advertisers?
Yes, login as an advertiser and click on "Search Bids" to perform a search for keyword popularity and keyword bids.
What happens if my deposit has been spent?
Before your deposit has been completely spent you will receive an email notification warning you of the low deposit value and asking you to top up your deposit. If you don't add money to your account your account will go on negative and your listing will not be visible on the search results until you top up your account.
How long does an inactive account stay on the records?
A negative account may stay in the data for six months, after that time you will receive an email notification and if you do nothing your account will be deleted.
What measures do you have against fraud?
Although we have many checks and balances to protect against fraudulent clicks for security reasons we cannot name them all. One of them is that we keep track of the IP address used by the person clicking on the results. If the same IP address clicks on a particular link more than once in the same session only one click will be counted as a legal click.
Can I view records of the clicks to my keywords?
Yes, you have access to statistics kept by the server. You can create a report for all your keywords listed together or per individual keyword. You can create timely reports by selecting the start and the finish date for the report.

How many keywords/phrases can I select?
There is no limit to the number of keywords used as long as the keywords are relevant to your products or services offered.

Does it cost anything to join?
No, it does not cost you anything to become an affiliate.
What type of affiliate options do you offer?
The Export Search Engine offers 3 types of affiliate options.
- The first option is the simplest and most common option. You can place a text link to your site or a newsletter, with a short sentence like " Use the www.ExportSE.com to find exporters worldwide" Or place our search box on your website and direct your visitors to search for exporters. In both cases your visitors will be transferred to the ExportSE website.
- The second option is a co-branding option, where you place a search box on your website, you give us your banner and every time someone performs a search from the search box on your site the Export Search Engine results will appear under your own banner. With this option your clients will assume that this service is your offering. However in this co-branding option your clients will not be able to list their site under your banner. After clicking the links "List your Site" or "Manage Listing" they will be transferred to the Export Search Engine to register their site and organize their pay per click account.
- The third option is a re-branding option. This is a special partnering/affiliate option and will be available to selective partners only. In this option everything will appear under the partners banner. Export Search Engine will receive payment direct from advertisers, manage affiliates and perform all administration tasks. Alternative arrangements can be negotiated.
The first option, (text link or search box) will be activated immediately. However affiliate approval will require detail verification and can generally take up to 24 hours
The second option will require valuation of your website and your company banner and would therefore take longer to activate.

How and when will I get paid?
Payments to affiliates will be posted or electronically transferred to the affiliate's account on the second week of every month, in accordance with the payment instructions upon the affiliates registration.
What is the minimum amount I will have to earn before I can be paid?
The minimum amount is US$20 per month if in any one month your commission does not reach US$20 then your earnings will transfer to the next month.
Can I use the Affiliate code on more than one site?
Yes, of course! There is no limit to how many times or where you place the code as long as it follows the rules set out in our Terms and Conditions.
Can I promote Export Search Engine via email?
Yes, as long as it is with an Opt-In email list and the recipients are related to import and or export businesses NOT individual consumers. We do NOT tolerate SPAM.
If we determine that you have spammed, your account you will be deleted immediately and you will lose all commissions earned.
Can I change the affiliate code in any way?
No, in order to ensure that your sales are credited to you please do not change the affiliate code in any way.
Can I write my own text links/create my own banners?
Yes but we do require that they are approved by us. Just send us a copy via email or upload your banner to our site and notify us.
Does my website have to be approved?
Not for the first option, as long as your website follows the rules set out in our Terms and Conditions. For the second and third options yes we will have to approve your website.
